Looking to upgrade my $10 Salton no frills model I read every one of the reviews on this product on Amazon and I also researched Zojirushi's website. There I found video tours that cover how to use and clean the cooker and other good information. I was hesitant to pay so much for a rice cooker but based on the overall good reviews I purchased the 3 cup model. I did see the concerns regarding the bowl flaking, the rubber liner wearing out and the cord not retracting. I don't know of a coated cooking pan that doesn't wear off after time so that wasn't an issue for me...
